Debut track “Slur” is chaotic yet quietly controlled grunge-pop that sits amongst the cracks of everything between ’90s shoegaze, scuzzy post-punk, and DIY noise rock.
— Cady Siregar, Stereogum
Breaking through the fuzz of their pedalboard hogging contemporaries, it showcases a band with an unparalleled ear for melody among the murk. ‘Slur’ might mark the starting shot of this three-track smash and grab, but in the ceiling-busting ‘Indigo In Blue’ and ‘Dandelion’’s pared-back introspection, Rain prove there’s more to them than that first flash of lightning.
— Tom Connick, DIY Magazine
