The indiana based shoegaze outfit let their stoner-rock elements seep through more than ever on the Hugh Glass-inspired Concrete Gallery.
You can view the video for the track, which was premiered at NPR, below:
The single comes from Time Well, the forthcoming second full length album release from the band, set for release 2 years after their first debut length Further Out.
Concrete Gallery marks a subtle switch in sound from previous releases like Further Out and Infinity, with the band seemingly embracing the stoner rock elements which previously sat in the background of their largely shoegaze dominated songs.
With Concrete Gallery, both the dulcet chugging of the guitar and the slightly altered vocal style of Doyle Martin sit at the forefront of the track, whereas before they might have lingered in the ambience.
The video accompanies the track perfectly, slowly guiding you through with an array of warm footage soaked in gleaming lights steadily moving at the pace of the song. If there was anything that's going to remind you they're still a shoegaze band at heart, it's this.
Time Well is released August 18th via Relapse Records.
A personal recommendation would be to prepare for the new record by re-visiting 2015's Further Out which was released via Run For Cover Records.
