There's been a lot of speculation on whether we're getting a new release from Turnover this year, having only released a single between now and 2015's 'Peripheral Vision', and now we know.
Although they haven't revealed a name or release date, Run For Cover Records posted a photo on Instagram confirming in the caption that it's definitely a third album as opposed to another EP or Single and it's being released this year. The caption also confirms that the band have reunited on this release with 'Peripheral Vision' producer and Run For Cover Records favourite Will Yip.
The band have been around for while, making their name in the pop-punk scene with their self-titled EP and debut album 'Magnolia'. On their second full-length 'Peripheral Vision' they switched up their usual sound a little bit, which pushed the band to a new level. Luckily, due to the positive reaction to the last LP, I don't think we can expect as dramatic a shift between these two records, as we had with the last two. Progression is obviously welcomed, but I just don't think their audience is done with hearing what they can do with the sound they put out on 'Peripheral Vision' just yet.
Don't forget, I previously wrote an article on bands that sound like Turnover and many of them have records out which you should definitely check out while you wait for Turnover's LP3 to be released this year.
