Parks are a new band from Newcastle who released their three track demo back in June of this year. A few months down the line, they have now released the follow-up single, titled 'Breathe'.
You can listen to the track below:
Aptly tagged with "whatever" alongside "grunge" and "punk" on Soundcloud, 'Breathe' features snarky, fed up vocals that are just as distorted as the guitars, and in all honestly, the vocal style is pretty much the only thing stopping Parks being a hardcore band based off of this track. Displaying a slight departure in sound from their June 2016 demo, most of the guitar riffs are accompanied by stompy drum parts, and the pairing wouldn't sound out of place on a No Warning or Guns Up! influenced record more than one influenced by the 90s alternative scene, which is what you might expect when listening to a grunge band in 2016.
